Welfare

Throughout the Club's existence, high priority has been given to the welfare and support of members and their families who experience bereavement, illness or other distress. All members actively share the responsibility for ensuring that the welfare team are kept up to date with news.

Contact is maintained with those members who are unable to attend club events through illness or infirmity. Regular visits are made to members' houses, hospital or care homes.

Monthly reports are given at our lunch meeting which will include location and visiting arrangements. Urgent information is passed to members by email.

It is clear that, for many years now, members and families have come to greatly appreciate the support offered.

Contact Stephen Ross on 0151 342 4185, or via stephenrross@live.co.uk, regarding any welfare issues. The club is fortunate to have the benefit of Stephen's professional background, which included geriatric social work, which enables him to help those facing a variety of crises in their lives.
