Rambles

Most months, a ramble of around 3 miles or less is organised for members who find our longer group walks a little too strenuous. Members of all local Probus Clubs are most welcome on our rambles.

All rambles start at 11:00am, except where otherwise specified, and generally last under two hours. They end with a pub lunch at or before 1:00pm. Probus members who do not wish to go on a ramble are welcome to join us for lunch.

Please direct any enquiries regarding a particular ramble to the ramble leader. For other enquiries, please contact David Cunliffe (d.cunliffe@gmail.com or 07968 950795).

MEMBERS AND GUESTS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY JOIN THESE RAMBLES AT THEIR OWN RISK. IT IS THEIR OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO DECIDE ON THEIR LEVEL OF CAPABILITY TO PARTICIPATE. IF NEEDED, FURTHER DETAILS OF THE TERRAIN AND DIFFICULTY CAN BE DETERMINED FROM THE LEADER PRIOR TO TAKING PART.

DRIVERS OFFERING LIFTS SHOULD ENSURE THAT THEIR INSURANCE COVERS PASSENGERS.

Next ramble

Monday 23rd February 2026: a ramble around Willaston led by Alan Bradbury, taking in Blue Badge Ashtree Farm, Hadlow Road Station visitor centre, and the Wirral Way to Heath Lane. Meet at the Nags Head (CH64 1SJ), where we will reconvene for lunch at 1:00pm. As always, non-ramblers will be welcome to join us for lunch.
